Bianca Cantu & Aldo Davila
Married August 8, 2020
A December wedding was set for Bianca and Aldo, who were excited to celebrate their nuptials in a grand celebration with their loved ones. Unfortunately, COVID-19 blindsided the world, and Bianca and Aldo were forced to put a halt to their wedding plans. Having the world turn upside down and seeing friends and family affected gave them a whole new perspective on their lives. While a pandemic took over, it wouldn’t stop their love. The most important thing for Bianca and Aldo was that they were together, and to make a promise to God as they become husband and wife. And so, August 8th was set for a “micro wedding” with only seven of their immediate relatives. Bianca and Aldo were married in her childhood church at El Buen Pastor United Methodist Church in Edinburg, where Bianca’s father walked her down the aisle to “Turning Pages” by Sleeping At Last. The bride looked stunning in a long sleeved lace ballgown with matching cathedral veil while the handsome groom wore a tuxedo with matching black boots and a Stetson. The couple was pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Davila, and their lovely ceremony was followed by an intimate celebration at their home. Flowers and banners decorated the home where Bianca and Aldo and their family enjoyed a light meal and a bundt wedding cake with lemon raspberry and raspberry vanilla from their favorite bakery. Bianca and Aldo happily shared their first dance right in their living room to “In Case You Didn’t Know” by Brett Young, followed by a father-daughter and a mother-son dance. While it wasn’t the original wedding they dreamt of, Bianca and Aldo were happy to be married, surrounded by their closest family, with the blessings of having each other during a tumultuous time.
