Lauren Janssen & Jason Gregg
Married March 7, 2020
It wasn’t long after Lauren and Jason met online in 2016, that they knew they were meant to be together. They had both attended Texas Tech University, had many friends in common, yet had never met before; it had to be a sign! On a trip to Dallas at Christmas in 2018, Jason had planned a surprise romantic carriage ride through Highland Park with a stop at Teddy Bear Park. There on the bridge he got down on one knee and asked her if she would marry him, and she replied “Sure!” She, being from Harlingen, and he from Southlake, they knew they wanted their wedding to be held somewhere in the middle so all their family and friends could attend. A little quaint and gorgeous venue in Boerne, Texas was the perfect place to have the “rustic elegance” wedding weekend they were dreaming of. The morning of the wedding they awoke to a light rain, a symbol of good luck on their special day. Lauren and Jason got ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen on separate parts of the expansive Hill Country ranch. The ceremony was held outdoors, and cocktail hour was under a huge tree, with seating vignettes placed around. As people entered the venue they were greeted by gold framed seating charts, brass candlesticks and floral décor in a burgundy, blush and navy color palette, and an amazing cake in the style of a Monet painting. After a fabulous dinner and plenty of dancing, their guests went outside for the sparkler sendoff while Lauren and Jason had their romantic last dance alone to “Dance with You all Night Long” by Josh Abbott. A more perfect day couldn’t have been asked for!
