On May 20, 2017, Patrick and I prepared for the most important day of our lives, me getting pampered and primed with my bridesmaids, and Patrick enjoying barbecue with his groomsmen. No matter how we got ready, all too soon we were at the altar together, hand in hand and exchanging vows to become Mr. & Mrs. Bailey.
After saying “I Do”, we arrived at our reception, completely blown away by the sequined linens and shades of white, pink, and lavender florals that seemed to be picked from a garden. The gold wooden “Cheers” sign over the bar, glittering chandeliers, and delicate gold details brought our fun yet elegant celebration together.
Patrick and I were over the moon for the candy and doughnut bar, the ruffle tiered wedding confection, and especially for the realistic pizza groom’s cake! It was a hit with our guests who really believed someone had left us pizza for a snack, complete with “Mr. & Mrs.” breadsticks!
Throughout the entire night Patrick and I took a few moments to stop, look around, and simply enjoy our wedding. In what felt like only a minute, everyone was pulled away from the dance floor to see us end the night to Leon Russell’s “Goodnight Irene” in a flurry of confetti and one last kiss of the night. We will never forget being surrounded by so much love on our wedding day, and dancing the night away with all of the best people in our lives.
