"Shant and I are so incredibly lucky to have met. We both moved to McAllen in 2016 but didn’t cross paths until the world was ready for us to meet. Both of us come from Indian families - a small community, running in similar circles, living only 2 miles apart … took us 3 years to meet!
After 6 months of dating, we decided “why wait?” We got our families together and celebrated a traditional engagement ceremony. With our hearts set on an April 2020 wedding, we traveled to India in February of 2020 to shop and prepare for the big day.
When it came to planning our wedding we knew we wanted to stay local with our vendors. Our first stop was hiring a wedding planner (shoutout to Pandora Weddings). After deciding on venues, décor, photography, and all other vendors - 3 weeks before the big day the pandemic hit and derailed our celebrations for another 13 months!
The wedding team we put together was rescheduled multiple times over the span of the year. Each time, our vendors stood by us and accommodated us in every way possible. These pages are a tribute to their hard work and resiliency. We thank you all so much for helping make this happen"
