Magdalena Aguinaga is an accomplished professional and business owner with a diverse background in media, manufacturing, and the automotive industries. Born in Toluca and raised in Saltillo, Mexico, Magdalena has attained experiences from around the world. In her twenties, she lived in countries like France and Italy but decided to plant her roots in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley.

Magdalena holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Public Relations from Universidad Autonoma de Coahuila, Mexico, and a Master's degree in International Business from Ecole Superior De commerce de Grenoble, France. She also holds several certifications in her field, including Contracts review by HarvardX and other minority expert certifications. In addition, she holds language certificates in French, Italian, and Japanese

Magdalena's career began as a radio DJ and rapidly became a journalist for the Federal Institute of Elections before moving to the automotive industry. She worked in human resources, public relations, quality, and materials management and procurement, where she is currently the head of purchasing for Denso Ten. Magdalena has also previously worked for global companies such as Johnson Controls, Alpine, Motorola, and Fujitsu Ten. With over 20 years of experience, she is an expert in procurement and negotiations, leading teams of 6 members both in Mexico and the USA. Among her many recognitions, she received the Japan company President award for inventory management in her current position.

Magdalena’s entrepreneurship life began five years ago when she started her business, Opari Laser Engraving Gifts. Inspired by a beautiful wood box her parents received in Mexico with exquisite cut designs and personalized engraving, Magdalena knew this was something she could bring to the RGV. She learned the ins and outs of the business from scratch and has since helped customers create special and treasured items. Opari Laser Engraving Gifts is women-owned certified and a proud member of GoTexan, Mission Chamber of Commerce, and STMA.

Magdalena is involved in several organizations, including OWE, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, FemCity, and the Disability Chamber. She currently serves as Treasurer for HWNT RGV. She is also active in the community, volunteering for the Food Bank RGV and supporting donations for various fundraising events.

In her spare time, Magdalena is an avid reader and beekeeper. She is invested in promoting bee preservation and owns BeeAmore apiary and products. She also supports her son's passion for baking. Magdalena resides in Mission, TX, with her pride and joy, her 15-year-old son.
