Our story began December 2018 when we met at a mutual friend’s Christmas party. We were introduced and began to talk about our interests in medicine. Rob had just returned from medical school in Mexico, while Jess had been working as a school nurse. We were both immediately drawn to each other, fascinated with our life stories and sense of humor. During our first date, we were on the beach with friends and sparks flew overhead as the 4th of July fireworks began. But it was the unexpected, hours-long traffic jam on our return that solidified our mutual feelings. We’ve been happily stuck in traffic together ever since. It was at one of our local vineyards that Rob got down on one knee. We were gifted one of their bottles and have saved it to enjoy on our wedding night. We love each other deeply and can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of our favorite people!
