Our story began with us meeting through a high school leadership program, where our paths crossed as mere acquaintances. It wasn’t until after college, when fate orchestrated our reunion in New York, that our connection truly blossomed. AJ, immersed in the fast-paced world of journalism as an anchor at CNBC, and I, navigating the intricate realm of medical training at the Mount Sinai Hospital, found solace in each other’s company amidst the chaos of city life. As we embarked on this new chapter, we connected over the similarities that strengthened our bond. Both hailing from the 956, our shared upbringing in the valley formed the foundation of our connection, along with our mutual scholarship program and our unwavering love for our hometown all while embracing the bustling energy of the Big Apple.
