Sales Associate

Sales Associate is responsible for selling pages of our magazines and our digital products. This involves managing relationships with businesses wanting to advertise, negotiating the rate to charge, and liaising with the editorial team.

Our ideal candidate is someone who is self-motivated with previous sales experience and understands the dynamic of the sales process.  

What We Require:

1. High School Diploma or higher
2. Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office
3. Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments
4. Attend Valley Wedding Pages Events
5. Strong communication skills
6. Ability to work well under limited supervision
7. Have a valid driver's license
8. Must have a vehicle to go to events and see clients

Assignments:

1. Create proposals
2. Lead meetings with clients
3. Visit clients
4. Attend events (grand openings, networking events, chamber events, etc.)

Traveling:

Sales Associate will travel about 80% of the time to meet with clients and attend events.

Pay Rate

Option 1 – Contract Sales Associate – Full Time

A 3 day sales training paid at min wage. Pay at 10% Commission plus a monthly stipend when monthly goals are met. You get paid every two weeks. Pay increases and stipend takes into effect after meeting goal for 3 consecutive months. Increase is: up to max 15% commission and a monthly stipend of $200 each time you meet the monthly goal.

Option 2 – Employee Sales Associate – Full Time

Work at the office as clerical (paid part-time) 9am-1pm 2-3 times a week; Sales Associate (commission-based part-time) you make the schedule for remaining of the time. A 3 day sales training paid at min wage. Pay start at $7.75 per hour with a starting commission at 10% plus a monthly stipendwhen monthly goals are met. You get paid every 2 weeks for part time office hours and commission is paid monthly. Pay increases after meeting goal for 3 consecutive months. Increase is: up to 15% commission and monthly stipend of $200 each time you meet monthly goal.
