The Wedding of Alison Kirstie Ojeda & Leonardo Carrasco

BEST! DAY! EVER! That is how we can best describe our wedding day. That morning we woke up prepared to go with whatever the day brought us and make the best out of it. Tons of emotions and excitement were in the air that morning when we woke up and began to get ready.

We had an outdoor wedding and that morning it began to rain and a cold front had come in. We got a little nervous when we checked the weather the day before, but we weren’t going to let anything rain on our parade. Thank God the rain had stopped before our ceremony! I had gotten some monogrammed blankets for our guests to keep warm and a cute blue jean jacket that said “Mrs. Carrasco” for myself just in case it was cold. It’s so hard to predict the weather in the RGV in December! All we knew was that we could not wait to be married and see each other at the altar.

The venue had separate areas for the bride and groom to get ready with our bridesmaids and groomsmen. It was great to be able to be surrounded by family and friends that morning as we began getting ready (separately of course) for one of the biggest days of our lives.

Once the ceremony began and I saw Leo at the altar, nothing else mattered. It was just him and I. It was like we were the only ones there. I couldn’t believe that I was about to marry the man I had always prayed for.

Our ceremony and reception were filled with so much love, dancing, happiness, and good people. We truly had the best time and we were able to soak in the whole day. From the first dance to the toasts, to the party…it was all so much fun! We are so grateful to have been surrounded by our family and friends on such a memorable day. The entire day was something very special that we will cherish and remember for the rest of our lives.
