Named by her grandmother for being the only granddaughter in her family, Norma Theresa "Princee" Mares was destined to create gorgeous weddings fit for royalty. A UTPA graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Princee juggled her 16 year career as a Hidalgo County probation officer with her time in the Valley Symphony Orchestra & Chorale. The faith-based singer would also dedicate time to the church choir of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg and her local Christian community.
When the time came to plan her own wedding in January 2020, to her loving and supportive husband, she sought out some extra help to ensure an elevated and smooth wedding planning experience. She found The Wedding Planning Academy, an educational platform to become a Certified Wedding Planner. Putting her newfound knowledge to work, Princee planned an unforgettable celebration in which she and Daniel were married.
Princee found the entire process enjoyable and exciting; she realized she wanted to continue to plan weddings. With her WPA certification, she plans to coordinate month-by-month as well as Day of Events not only for weddings, but also for Quinceaneras, birthdays, and other private events.
Combining her introduction and knowledge to the wedding industry with her positive faith and belief that the most important aspect of a wedding is two people becoming one and sharing their union with loved ones, Princee is sure to create many more unforgettable events.
