The Wedding of Alyssa Cerroni & Erasmo Gonzalez Jr.

When Alyssa, originally from New York, and Erasmo, a South Texas native, met at a soccer league, the future couple connected off the field, and a beautiful relationship blossomed thereafter. After dating for about three years, Erasmo surprised his future bride with an incredible and exhilarating proposal. The couple took a jeep to the top of Bear Wallow Mountain in Sedona, Arizona where the mountain tour culminated with Erasmo down on one knee asking for Alyssa’s hand.

During their engagement, Alyssa and Erasmo embarked on another exhilarating journey - planning their wedding which they did with their planner of choice who helped plan and execute an utterly romantic and personalized wedding for the bride and groom. Married at Montebello Event Center in San Juan, Texas created a perfect location for an intimate wedding. Alyssa and Erasmo enjoyed having their closest family and friends, together at Montebello where the all-in-one location provided the perfect indoor and outdoor backdrop for the wedding festivities.

The spring ceremony took place outside in warmth and sunshine under a beautifully adorned wooden pergola. The bride’s father walked her down the aisle as she was serenaded by Viol Consort String Ensemble. Alyssa wore a beautifully romantic ivory Sposa Mia wedding gown adorned with tulle and lace. She wore ivory Badgley Mischka shoes and carried a decadent bouquet of perfectly pastel flowers in shades of creams and rose. A small bridal party of three groomsmen and three bridesmaids joined the couple on their wedding day. The outdoor ceremony was officiated by the groom’s sister, and the Valley Wedding Pages’ own owner and editor, Daisy. Close and dear to the couple’s hearts, the ceremony was romantic and spontaneous with both a tree planting ceremony and a tequila shot after the I do’s.

Viol Consort continued to play during the cocktail hour while the festivities transitioned into the evening portion of the wedding. The guests enjoyed custom-made cocktails all named in honor of the bride’s beloved dogs. After the ceremony, an indoor dinner reception was held where the guests were treated to cheese appetizers and a delicious catered meal of chipotle chicken with asparagus and salad for their sit-down dinner. Inside the venue, with crisp and clean lines of decor, cream-colored table linens decorated with pastel hues of blues, creams, and rose created a romantic and ethereal ambiance for the wedding festivities.

At the reception, the couple had The Down Bubbly Bar and a shot cart as well, which definitely helped to create a fun atmosphere for the celebrations. Along with beautifully catered desserts from The Queen’s Kitchen, and a coffee bar, the shining star of the reception was definitely the beautifully created custom wedding cake from Honey’s Cakes. A true piece of art in a perfect shade of blue and adorned with a waterfall of pale roses, it fit in perfectly with the romantic and ethereal theme of the wedding.

Alyssa and Erasmo danced their first dance to “Dream a Little Dream of Me” by Mama Cass Elliot while their loved ones, both local and those who traveled from New York, watched on. A photo booth and tacos for the late night round up of the reception helped elevate the wedding celebration into the fun zone. A DJ helped to keep the party going with fun music throughout the night at the outdoor part of the reception. A lot of dancing added the fun aspect to this wedding with guests truly enjoying themselves. When the time came to close the night and end the reception, the couple joined together for one final dance. Luxury bus transportation ensured that the out-of-town guests returned to their hotel. Later that summer, Alyssa and Erasmo honeymooned all over Italy.
